In her role at the Center for Financial Inclusion, Ms. Magdas has been an important part of the development of the Financial Inclusion 2020 project. She is responsible for leading outreach efforts to disseminate products and findings from the project, while supporting partnership development with diverse stakeholders in financial inclusion from both the public and private sectors. Additionally, Ms. Magdas plays a key role in the project's management and communications efforts, and was part of the core team organizing and executing the Financial Inclusion 2020 Global Forum in 2013. Before joining the Center, Ms. Magdas worked with the American Red Cross, TIG Global, and Georgetown University’s Center for Latin American Studies. Ms. Magdas also serves as the Co-Chair of Women Advancing Microfinance – DC Chapter, a networking organization promoting women’s involvement and advancement in the microfinance and financial inclusion space.
Ms. Magdas is a native of Romania and graduated from Georgetown University in Washington, DC with a degree in philosophy, Spanish, and economics. She is fluent in English, Romanian, and Spanish.
