An author, speaker, entrepreneur and futurist, Arunjay has more than seven years of experience in the financial inclusion space. Prior to supporting UNCDF’s data analytics and research work on migration and remittances, he co-authored two GSMA State of the Industry reports on mobile financial services and wrote a book on micromoney transfers. In 2015, he won a grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to simplify mobile money payments for mass-market adoption spent the next five years innovating with the IPN Hub, harmonizing mobile money APIs, and helping the mobile money industry to a payments-as-a-platform approach. He has mentored more than 20 inclusive fintech startups with DFS Lab and started venture building with BFA’s Catalyst Fund. Arunjay began his professional career as a consultant with Ernst & Young.
