Garrett Jaso

Former Research Specialist

Garrett supported the investor engagement and research team, for whom he contributed to research on the intersections between investment, social impact, and governance. He also helped organize CFI’s stakeholder convenings and trainings.

Before joining CFI, Garrett served as a loan officer and state lead for Accion in the U.S. In that role, he led Accion in the U.S.’s expansion into Texas and developed targeted financial products for small and startup businesses. Prior to Accion, Garrett worked on multiple political campaigns. He also volunteered with a microfinance non-profit in Mexico that supports women entrepreneurs in the informal economy.

Garrett holds a bachelor’s degree in international affairs and a minor in finance from The University of Colorado, Boulder. He also holds a certificate in digital money from the Digital Frontiers Institute and The Fletcher School at Tufts University. Garrett is fluent in English and Spanish.
