Mohamad Nazirwan (Iwan) is a microbanker and responsible financial inclusion specialist. Iwan has solid background in financial inclusion, microbanking including Islamic microfinance, MSME finance, and MSME credit reporting. His professional career nearly 30 years is quite unique as it an interwoven of a banker and an international development practitioner. Iwan entitles technical knowledge and expertise in financial inclusion framework and implementation through government enabling policy and business interventions. During his career as a Senior Financial Sector Specialist of the World bank’s Global Practice, he also involved in cross-cutting initiatives on financial inclusion and MSME access to finance in Indonesia.
He also a speaker in many international workshops and seminars on microfinance and financial inclusion events such as India Microfinance Association Annual Event, Asian Banker Summit, Asia Microfinance Conference, APEC SME financiers Workshop and so forth. Iwan holds PhD from Victoria Universty Australia with research focus on Islamic-community-based microfinance in Indonesia.
