Jan Dewijngaert joined Incofin in 2015 as a Regional Director EECA and Director Private Equity, responsible for all equity and debt investments in the EECA region. He executed three private equity investments in Central Asia and realized one exit in Nigeria. The portfolio in the EECA region amounts to about 325m$ spread over 13 countries and consists of 5 equity investments and loans to 40+ institutions.
Prior to Incofin, Jan was a partner at Gimv, a European private equity firm. Gimv is listed on Euronext Brussels and manages a portfolio of about 1.6bn€. At Gimv, Jan was responsible for all Gimv investments in the EECA. He founded and managed 7 funds that focused on investments in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia and Kazakhstan. He was a founder and Managing Director of Eagle Venture Partners, a manager of Russian and Kazakh private equity funds, and of Gimv Czech Partners, a manager of Czech and Slovak private equity funds. Over a period of more than 25 years at Gimv, he executed about 70 investments across a wide variety of sectors.
Jan started his career at KBC Bank, where he was an advisor on international loans. He graduated at the Catholic University of Louvain as a Civil Engineer.
