Adjacent to the the 2018 International Conference on Responsible and Inclusive Finance (held March 21 and 22), the Smart Campaign will be hosting a closed session on March 20 with regulators from Benin, Rwanda, Uganda, Ghana, and Nigeria to discuss supervision, consumer protection regulations, and the application of the Model Legal Framework in their markets.
The 2018 International Conference on Responsible and Inclusive Finance is hosted by the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Rwanda (AMIR) in partnership with the SEEP Network and the Smart Campaign. This event aims to provide participants with an opportunity to learn about strategies and successes and challenges of the Rwandan Financial Inclusion agenda, and also a forum for discussion about best practices globally with respect to responsible inclusive finance, especially in terms of client protection and education.
The Smart Campaign will be moderating two panel discussions during the event: “The Business Case for Consumer Protection Certification of Financial Services Providers” and “Client Voices: Findings in Rwanda and Beyond.”
