What is Financial Inclusion Week?
FIW is a virtual global forum to exchange ideas, research, and perspectives on how to advance the future of inclusive finance.
Financial Inclusion Week (FIW) is more than just an event. With four packed days of live and on-demand content bringing together 350+ speakers each year, FIW has grown to become the leading event on inclusive finance.
FIW is a forum for exchanging ideas, research, and perspectives from around the world. The community-driven agenda covers the most pressing topics, helping to inform and advise global efforts to advance inclusive finance. Each year, the Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI) convenes FIW and invites partner organizations to showcase work, share ideas on what’s ahead, and engage with the community.

Financing the Future – Shaping the Next Decade of Inclusive Finance
Join us for the 10th anniversary of Financial Inclusion Week!
This year’s event will present an industry-wide opportunity to reflect on how the inclusive finance sector has evolved over the past decade and what we need to do next to serve the nearly 2 billion people that remain excluded from the formal financial system.
In 2011, the inaugural Global Findex Report revealed only 50% of the global population had access to formal financial services – and significantly more men than women. Fast forward to 2021, and we saw a sharp increase in access, with 76% of people and 74% of women having financial accounts. We now look beyond access to usage and quality outcome indicators, making the picture more complex. Creative solutions are needed to ensure inclusivity in the next digital decade and avoid erasing the progress of the last 10 years.
Today, financial services providers have expanded to include fintechs to BigTech, and the use of AI is widespread across product and service design and delivery. What solutions can we implement now to propel financial inclusion forward and ensure everyone can use responsible financial services to make informed decisions and improve their lives?

Registration for the virtual event is open! FIW is free to attend and features an agenda packed full of live sessions and engaging on-demand content.
The call for FIW 2024 session submissions has closed. All proposals are being carefully reviewed by the FIW Selection Committee, comprised of both CFI staff and external advisors, and through a competitive process, submissions are selected for live or on-demand spots and sessions. CFI promotes all content both during the event and throughout the year.
CFI invites organizations to support FIW and help drive forward the critical conversations to advance inclusive finance.
